A series of announcements today by the Syrian regime: granting citizenship to Hasakeh’s Kurds, removing the Homs governor Iyad Ghazal and waiving the requirement for intelligence service approval on some types of civil paper work. The committee charged with drafting a replacement to the 48 year old emergency law has announced that it will conclude it’s work soon.
